years ago was great for big shoals of aggressive perch, then there was gudgeon etc. - Reviewed 19th Jan 2025 at 10:10am

As a kid of only 10/11 years old this is where I learned to fish with no £ for maggots or groundbait I’d have to sneak a few rounds of bread and dig lobworms from back garden when I run out I’d roll over rocks in the woods for a few more, also caught Rudd and roach, looking at the photo the water has dropped ‘cos there were no swim platforms on the right as the water went right up against the wall to the very right handsize, can someone please tell me what size the fish grow to,oh forgot to tell you I started fishing from 1974 to’77. If I had a £ I would buy day ticket at Rutts’ pool I caught a crucian carp to say I was chuffed didn’t come close you see back then carp were deemed uncatchable a day that still makes me smile, is Rutts still fishable,”anyone”.?
